All-State Teachers Workshop, New Music Reading Clinic, Annual Meeting
July 15 — Registration Deadline

Student Membership Subsidy for new student members who apply between August 1 and October 31.

Fall Clinic, Luncheon, Awards Presentation
September 12 — Nomination Deadline for Awards
October 2 — Registration Deadline for Clinic and Luncheon

Fall String Camp
Students in grades 6–8 participate in one of 3 levels of orchestra.
October 9 — Registration Deadline for Students, Teachers, Chaperones and College Interns
October 24–26 — Fall String Camp weekend at Camp St. Croix

Mary West Solo Competition and National Solo Competition
Solo competition in 4 age groups.
October 10 — Application Deadline
November 9 — Competition date
November 10 — Recording Submission Deadline for National Participants
November 16, 3:00 p.m. — Winners Recital
April 26, 3:00 p.m. — Grand Prize Winner in performance with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra

Middle Level Honors Orchestra
Students in grades 7–9 are selected by tape/CD audition to perform at the MMEA Convention.
October 21 — Tape/CD audition deadline
February 14–15 — Rehearsal at Northwestern College, Roseville; performance at MMEA

Middle Level Orchestra Festival
Orchestras from grades 6–9 perform at one of three festivals around the state.
December 5 — Registration Deadline for all sites
February 17 — Hopkins; February 18 — Monticello; February 20 — Stillwater
March 30 — Tier 2 at Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis

Pedagogy Talk Sessions
January 17 —  Tanya Remenikova,, cello
